50% of the proceeds go to the winning ticket, the other 50% goes towards the fundraising for the Hope for Joe! LGBTQ2I+ refugee.
Every 50/50 ticket sold helps bring Joe to Canada -- a gay man from the Middle East residing in a neighbouring country.

Cause

Rainbow Refugee is a Vancouver based community group that supports people seeking refugee protection in Canada because of persecution based on sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression (SOGIE) or HIV status.

Rainbow Refugee Society works with the Federal government in a blended sponsorship program where local community members form Circles of Hope to sponsor LGBTQ+ asylum seekers.

Rainbow Refugees has active sponsorship circles across Canada, including over 20 active Circles of Hope in British Columbia. Thanks to their efforts refugees are being welcomed across the province in communities like Vancouver, Victoria, Kamloops, Kelowna and Salt Spring Island.
